Chef Anthony Hunt is a South Florida chef, culinary artist, entrepreneur, and professional angler competing on the Major League Fishing tournament circuit. A 1994 culinary graduate, he built his career through hands-on experience across savory cuisine, baking, pastry, butchery, and pasta making, developing a rare versatility that allows him to move seamlessly from comforting classics to refined fine dining. His philosophy is simple. Every dish deserves the same level of care, whether it is a perfectly cooked hot dog, a handmade pasta, or an elegant Wagyu or fresh seafood tasting menu. His culinary journey has taken him through luxury hospitality, including the Four Seasons, fine dining restaurants, private yachts, and exclusive clientele. Throughout his career, he has helped open more than a dozen restaurants with leading South Florida restaurant groups, while earning recognition through national and regional media, including the Food Network, the New York Times, the Miami Herald, New Times, and other culinary and lifestyle publications.

One defining moment in his career came when an early television opportunity taught him that technical skill alone was not enough. By embracing authenticity and remaining true to himself, he returned with renewed confidence and ultimately earned his Food Network feature. That experience continues to shape both his career and his approach to leadership, creativity, and hospitality. Chef Anthony believes soul food is not defined by geography, but by intention. To him, soul food is any meal prepared with passion, integrity, and genuine care that creates lasting memories and brings people together.

His lifelong passion for fishing also inspires his signature ocean-to-table philosophy, built around respecting every ingredient and showcasing seafood at its freshest. Beyond the kitchen, Chef Anthony is a lifetime member and longtime mentor with the Boys and Girls Club, where he has coached and inspired young culinary talent. His youth culinary team, ranging in age from 7 to 17, has earned victories in competitions against celebrity chefs.
